If you love the Walking Dead just as much as I do and are curious as to where their filming locations are, then you’ve come to the right place! Most filming locations are in the state of Georgia so recently while I was there, I decided to check them out and you might recognize some of them too. Seeing them in person is much more lively than seeing them on the show.

1. Senoia, Georgia

When you take a walk through main street in Senoia, it’s like being transported back to season 3 when we were introduced to the Governor’s “Woodbury.” The only main difference is that there aren’t any veggie gardens or solar panels where there is now grass. A nice stroll through Senoia’s main street will also lead you to a lot of cute boutiques, café’s, eateries, and of course, the Walking Dead themed stores.

2. Nic & Norman’s

While Nic & Norman’s may not be a filming location, it is the restaurant owned by Norman Reedus a.k.a. Daryl Dixon, and the show’s producer, Greg Nicotero. The food is delicious and I can guarantee, you won’t be disappointed.

3. The Walking Dead Museum

Located within the official Walking Dead Shop in Senoia is the Walking Dead Museum. The museum features a replica of the iconic “DON’T OPEN, DEAD INSIDE” doors, Daryl’s motorcycle, the “W” Zombie, and a replica of the prison cells. The museum allows for many unique photo opportunities that you don’t want to miss!

4. Alexandria Safe Zone

While in the show, Alexandria is technically located in Virginia but while filming, it’s actually located in Senoia, Georgia. Alexandria Safe Zone is located just at the bottom of Main Street in Senoia across from the railroad tracks. Unfortunately, fans aren’t able to walk around inside the Safe Zone but you can get some pretty good pictures from the outside of the wall.

5. The Pudding House

Remember that episode where Carl defeats that Zombie when looking for supplies while Rick recuperated? And then rewarding himself with a giant can of pudding on top of the roof? Well, that house is located on Plyant and Seavy in Senoia. While the outside has changed a little bit, it’s still highly recognizable. Further down that same street, is the house where Rick and Carl took to safety until Michonne was able to locate them.

6. The Grimes’ House

This is going way back to season 1 when Rick wakes up from his coma and immediately goes back to the place where the Grimes’ family called home. Well, their humble abode is located across from Zoo Atlanta on Cherokee Ave in Atlanta, Georgia. Around the corner on Ormond street is where Morgan’s house is also located.

7. The Church

One of the many churches used for filming is on Luther Bailey Road in Senoia, Georgia. This particular church was used in season 2 when the cast was searching for a missing Sophia and they hear the church bells. While it has been painted and the outside esthetic has changed slightly, it is still a distinguishable filming location.

8. ESCO Feed Mill

The Feed Mill is located in Haralson, Georgia, approximately a 10-minute drive outside of Senoia. This filming location was used in season 3 when Rick meets the Governor. Added fun fact: no CGI had to be used for the surroundings.

9. The Silos

This filming location is also in Haralson, Georgia and is just around the corner from the ESCO Feed Mill. The Silos were used in season 3 as well and were scenes involving Daryl and Andrea. The meat cooler that Andrea and Michonne were stuck in is also around the corner from the Silos, which was filmed at a real hunting shop on Addy Street.

10. Post-Farm Camp

Another filming location that is approximately a 5-10 minute drive from Senoia is the location where the group takes refuge after Hershel’s farm is overrun by Walkers. Unfortunately, you’re not able to take photos of this location without entry by a tour guide or the travel company that now owns it. It’s $10 to get in to take photos with the camp. This is one that I wish I was able to do but by the time I drove up there, it was closed.

Of course, there are so many filming locations throughout Georgia to see and many tours in which you can take part in. However, these are just a few of my favorites that I highly recommend that any fan of the Walking Dead visit. It’s incredible and almost feels like Walkers will jump out at you at any minute. Fans will not be disappointed!

I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.

The infamous RBF is something I have and am known for. It’s kind of exhausting to be asked if you're okay all the time or being told to smile more. Girls with RBF get judged to be mean and rude much quicker than the girl who is always smiling. It’s true and just plain natural for someone who is generally smiling all the time to come off as more trustworthy and I've gotten used to it. I used to think that having a Resting Bitch Face was only a bad thing until I realized that just like anything else, it also has its perks. Having a permafrown with a piercing look comes with great power.

We all know that Parks and Recreation is one of the greatest shows ever to air on TV. As we watched every episode, we all found a piece of us in each character (even Jerry). From the moment we met the pit, to the time we saw it flourish into a beautiful park, we all had developed a little bit of Pawnee, Indiana in our hearts.
