7 Reasons Why You Must Love Dogs

To me it is impossible to not stop dead in my tracks, stare and say, "Awwww" while reaching out for the fur ball and asking the stranger, "Can I pet your dog?" Yeah, I am that girl, but what I am not is ashamed of it and here's why:

1. No matter how bad or long your day is, you have a cute little puppy waiting to jump on you when you return to it.

You may be having the worst day of your life, but just take a moment and think, the second you get home your dog will be waiting for you. Once it sees you, it will greet you in a way that will make your horrible day seem not so bad.

2. It always will find a way to put a smile on your face.

Whether it is chasing a squirrel, barking at its reflection, or doing a cool trick, you can always count on your pup for doing something funny or super awesome to make you smile from cheek to cheek.

3. Dogs are automatic vacuums.

Your dog will always be there to pick up the pieces -- of the food that you dropped. You will never have to worry about a quick clean up, because all you have to do is holler at your puppy and it will be there to help you out.

4. The perfect cuddle buddy.

Whether your dog is big or small, if you ever need a snuggle buddy your dog would gladly be their for you, because they love to be loved just as much as you do.

5. One word: puppies.

Puppies are just about the cutest things on this planet. A life without puppies is not really a life at all. With their little ears and paws, how could you not instantly fall in love with a puppy?

6. A rapper named himself after a dog.

Snoop Dogg obviously loves dogs so much that he added an extra "g" to the name. Snoop may be the ultimate Dawg, but his name was inspired by a great animal and only gives yet another reason to love dogs.

7. A true friendship.

A dog waits all day for its owner to return home. It knows when something is wrong and tries to make its people feel better. Dogs can be protective or help a human out in a life-or-death situation. Dogs can make you smile without even trying and take a piece of your heart. It is not a lie when someone says, "A dog is a man's best friend," because that is exactly what it is.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
