Autumn is undoubtably my favorite season. All I can think about is the warm and cozy fireplaces, hayrack rides, pumpkin and apple picking, morning lattes… the list could go on forever. As the temperatures begin to drop and the leaves begin to fall, you're wardrobe should start to change as well. Gone are the days where you could walk around in a bathing suit all day, and have absolutely nobody question it. This new season gives us a chance to bring out our favorite layers, and to really get the most out of our clothing. I have listed some staples that I think everyone should include in their wardrobe this Fall. All of the items that I have included in this list are essential to surviving the Midwestern weather. I highly suggest you invest in each of these classics, because you will be wearing them a lot throughout the next few months.

Fall is often a season of unpredictable days— it might be cool and crisp in the morning, and then raining by the afternoon. What’s nice about having wardrobe staples is that all of the pieces listed below can be mixed and matched according to your personal taste, meaning that there are endless options when it comes to putting an outfit together. These timeless pieces will be able to withstand anything that mother nature decides to throw at you, and will help take your look to a whole new level. I hope you get out there and truly enjoy these next few months, which are sure to be filled with endless amounts of fall festivities. Oh, and don't forget to look good while doing them too. ;)

1. Rain Boots

These are essential for surviving the Midwest weather. There have been many times where I have woken up in the morning, only to look outside and see huge piles of rain everywhere. If you are looking to invest in some good quality rain boots, I would suggest going with either Hunter Boots, Sorel Boots, or Blundstone Boots. All three are made with amazing quality, and will last you several years.

2. Field Jacket

Really cute when worn over a classic white button down! Also the perfect light jacket for when it’s not too cold outside.

3. Plaid button down

So versatile, and can be dressed both up or down. I suggest pairing one with denim jeans and a quilted vest.

4. Favorite Denim Jeans

Good denim jeans can be hard to find. The cut, color, and sizing all varies depending on the store— which can be difficult when trying them on. My personal favorite jeans are Madewell and J.Crew. They have tons of different styles and colors, plus the prices are pretty reasonable as well!

5. Denim Jacket

A classic. This can be used over dresses, tops, tees, etc. This is also another layering piece that is perfect for when the weather isn't too chilly.

6. Neutral Booties

I actually just bought this pair of neutral booties, and I am in love with them! These shoes can be worn both day and night, and dress up just about any outfit. I also love these and these.

7. Oversized Tote Bag

This is one of my favorite pieces. I use it for everything— grocery shopping, farmers market, yoga, running to class… you name it!

8. White tee

Need I say more?

9. Off-the-shoulder top

This trendy top is flattering for almost all body types. I love the relaxed fit and feminine vibes!

10. Turtleneck Sweater

This sweater will be your new favorite way to stay cozy. It pairs well with denim jeans, and can be worn on its own or with a light jacket on top.

11. Quilted Vest

I just purchased this vest, and I am counting down the days until it gets a little bit colder so that I can debut it! It layers well over sweaters and plaid shirts, and helps bring a pop of texture to any outfit.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
