When you first arrive at college, everyone creates a bucket list! Whether it's mentally or on paper, everyone has a list of things they hope to accomplish before they graduate. Accordingly, here is my on-campus must do's that all students should complete before they graduate from Florida State!

1.Have a picnic on Landis Green.

Landis is a staple landmark at FSU, most students pass by it every day, however, they don't have the opportunity to truly enjoy its splendor. Soak in the Florida sun and enjoy a picnic surrounded by some of the best views on campus. I personally would recommend going on either a weekend or sometime in the evening so you can hopefully see some puppies! No Landis experience is complete without the legendary Landis puppies!

2. Take senior pictures.

You grinded for four years, it is mandatory that you highlight your hard work by taking some pictures around the beautiful campus! Some of the most popular sites include Westcott/College Avenue and Doak Campbell Stadium. However, to break the norm, I recommend adding Legacy Walk and Landis Green. Enjoy your moment and get those pictures you will cherish forever.

3. Get thrown in the Westcott Fountain.

Ahh, the legendary Westcott Fountain. For years it has been a tradition to celebrate major milestones by getting thrown in the fountain. This tradition is especially prevalent on a student's twenty-first birthday or waltz night. We don't have any outdoor university swimming pools, however, we do have plenty of fountains that work just fine!

4. Attend an FSU football game.

FSU is known for its game-day traditions and athletic excellence. Though the records have been lower in recent years, the traditions are still alive. I can tell you from personal experience, there is no better sound than the roar of the crowd after a touchdown. Everyone is on their feet and the energy in Doak Campbell is through the roof! There is Nole place better than Doak Campbell Stadium on game day.

5. Attend an FSU basketball game.

When students "Pack the Tuck," the atmosphere is absolutely crazy! In recent years, both the women's and men's teams have been successful making the games very competitive and high energy. Come out and see why people say, "we're a basketball school!"

6. Go to the Rez.

We're in Florida and boy, does it get hot, so a lake day is a must! The Rez is located on Lake Bradford and is only 15 minutes away from campus. Talk about an easy getaway! The Rez offers many fun and price-efficient outdoor activities for students including paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and there is even an obstacle course! If you haven't been yet then what are you doing? A majority of the activities are free, so go make use of that tuition.

7. Pull an all-nighter at Strozier.

Though this is definitely not one of those fun things that everyone must experience at FSU. It is for sure a must-do. Bet you didn't know that the computers reset aT some ungodly hour in the morning. Yep, one of those been there done that things you learn. It also gets very quiet from the hours of 3 a.m. - 5 a.m. Everyone is too tired to talk.

8. Eat lunch at Mom and Pop's Hotdog Stand.

We have all been there, your walking around campus and suddenly it smells like a backyard barbeque. That's Mom and Pop's for ya! Not only is it convenient, but it's also yummy, too! Next time you want something that tastes like home, stop by Mom and Pop's Hotdog Stand. I promise you won't regret it!

9. Go to the FSU Flying High Circus.

FSU is one of two schools in the United States with a collegiate circus. Which in my opinion, is super cool! Accordingly, the circus is something you must see before graduation. Not only is it free for students, but it is also put on by students, and let me tell you they are crazy talented! The circus is truly something special to FSU!

10. Eat at a Dining Hall.

Though I wouldn't say any of the dining halls are five-star restaurants, they aren't bad! Eating at the dining hall at any university is a right of passage that everyone must do. With that being said, true dining hall regulars know the love that Ms. Killings brings as you enter Suwanee. Which is why it is one of the must do's!

11. Introduce yourself to President Thrasher.

The man, the myth, the legend; Mr. John Thrasher. President Thrasher is honestly the best! He is so genuine and it is obvious that he cares for his students. Before you graduate, go introduce yourself to him and maybe even snap a photo.

College is truly the best years of your life! Soak in every moment and enjoy it because it will be gone before you know it!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
