Shane Harper

Shane Harper is a 24-year-old American singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. He is most well-known for his role in "Good Luck Charlie" on Disney Channel as Spencer. Shane was a principle dancer in "High School Musical 2," as well! (See if you can spot him next to Sharpay signing yearbooks during "What Time Is It" and the rest of the movie!) His debut album was released in 2011. Shane released his EP "Like I Did" in May 2016. It features five new songs that provide fans with the new music they have been waiting for from Shane. Personally, I always thought that Shane never got the recognition that he deserves so I want to share five of my favorite songs from him!

1. "Like I Did"

I'm currently obsessed with this song. There's always that one song off of a new album or EP or whatever that you just can't stop listening to and that's this song for me! "Like I Did" is the title song and lead single off the EP that Shane dropped in May 2016. The music video for this song dropped on August 11, 2016 and it's amazing. It features Sarah Hyland, who stars in Modern Family on ABC.

2. "I Know What I Know" (feat. Prophet)

"I Know What I Know" is such a catchy tune! I always catch myself singing along and I can never stay still while listening to the song!

3. "Say It Cause I Know It"

You know those songs that you hear and you just immediately love and want to replay over and over (and over) again? This song is one of those for me!

4. "Anything But Love"

"Anything But Love" is another song off of Shane's new EP released in 2016.

5. "Hold You Up"

"Hold You Up" is a song that was featured in the independent film "God's Not Dead" in which Shane was the lead character.

I hope this spotlight feature has been enjoyable! Please give these songs a listen, as well as check out other music he has done. I look forward to new music and I hope Shane releases some soon!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
