Music festivals are popping up all over the United States and dragging in music lovers of all ages. Each year festival lineups continue to grow and bring in an impressive variety of bands. 2016 lines up include famous names such as Glass Animals, Neil Young, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Roger Waters, The Rolling Stones, The 1975, Violent Femmes, etc. Diverse lineups influence a large crowd of both younger and older generations. Older generations buy music festival tickets to see their favorite classic Rock and Roll artists perform while younger generations buy tickets to listen to hip Indie bands while having an all all-around good time. With the wide variety of audience members and major lineups the list of summer music festivals continues to grow around the United States. Below is a list of some music festivals that carry different ranging prices and talented musicians. What To Bring

1. Disposable Cameras

A disposable camera is the perfect and easiest way to snap quick pictures with friends while jamming out to your favorite bands live. These cameras also allow you to relive the experience when you get your film developed.

2. Backpack

A music festival is not a place to bring a bag that you need to grasp onto with your hands or worry about someone snatching it off your shoulder. Get a backpack that is large enough to hold all of your belongings and not be in the way when you are trying to move around.

3. Snacks

Even if your venue doesn’t allow food inside you should still pack snacks. Eat healthy choices while waiting in line for the doors to open that way your stomach is full right from the start of the day. Coffee and water are never bad ideas either.

4. Portable Charger

Always make sure your phone is charged during a music festival in case of an emergency. With large crowds your cell phones battery can drain fast therefore it is always smart to come with a backup.

5. Loose and Expressive Clothing

There is no better place to express yourself through style than a music festival. This is the time to wear whatever you want with absolutely no judgement. Just make sure it is not too uncomfortable or hot to wear in the heat all day long.

6. A Positive Attitude

During the long festival weekend you might get hot, tired, or cranky with others that are around you. WHO CARES. It is not every day you get to spend a whole weekend listening to talented bands with people you care about. Do not forget this and make the most out of the music festival you are attending.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
