Close your eyes and imagine a world without any music. This picture is pretty difficult to grasp. Music surrounds us. It plays in stores, movies, and restaurants but so often we overlook it. It's a norm for music to be apart of our world. We often take simple melodies for granted like they are insignificant. Music is a indescribable phenomenon that has the power to change our emotions, speak to us, and express the way we feel.

There are 6 letters representing notes with a note in between those. Simple, right? But put those notes into groups and play them in different ways and with rhythms and they become a symphony. The possibilities are endless. Even after thousands of years of composition, we never fail to come up with something new and unique.

Music is a gift from God and I believe He reveals himself through it. I can see God through music so clearly. Through the way it is order perfectly to make harmony and so many different songs amazes me. He gives us the ability to make music with our hands, feet, and voices. He also gives us creative minds to have the capacity to create like he creates. The fact that he would give us this ability that is designed in his image is amazing.

Music shows me things about myself that I didn't realize before. When I am confused or won't let myself feel, I listen to music and I reveals emotions I didn't even know I had. It also helps me let go of emotions I was holding back. Music is one of my outlets that lets me release any tension, sadness, or worry I had been holding in. Music breaks chains and brings freedom.

I'm thoroughly convinced that life would be unbearable without the existence of music. I have always adorned singing and would, and still do, sing without cease wherever I go. I pay no mind to people's uptight stares. Music will always be apart of my life, God willing.

Without music, I think the world would be a darker place. Music brings clarity and definition to things left undefined by the confusion of this world.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
