Christmas is hands down my favorite holiday. The vibe is different as the weather becomes cooler, Christmas decorations are hung up, and families are out shopping for their loved ones. During Christmas time, I notice a lot of people become more cheerful as well. Since I live in Arizona, this cheerfulness probably comes from not sweating in the miserable heat all the time.
On Christmas Day, my family wakes up super early and exchanges gifts. My mom and dad will make breakfast and we will hang around until it is time to celebrate with my extended family. At the celebration, we eat yummy food, and all of the desserts my aunt makes every year. We also open gifts and play different games, enjoying each other's company.
Something I always like to remember is how lucky and grateful I am to be able to have a Christmas like this. I understand that some people hate the holidays for personal reasons, and when I am able to, I want to bring these people Christmas joy in the future by helping them out.
