The MTA Sucks

You leave your house with your purse, a cup of coffee at a certain time and you start your day by going to the train station or waiting by the bus stop so you can go to work. Or you leave your house with your book bag at a certain time and go to the train station or the bus stop so you can go to school. You go to work or school, leaving early as possible so you don't get in trouble by your boss or don't get detention because you were late. But it's not you who was really late and it's not your fault that you was late. It's the freaking MTA. The MTA is the one that makes you run late to wherever you have to go especially if you're the one who always go to work early or you're a perfect attendance student or just a great student in general but it's the MTA. Sure the train is faster but it doesn't matter because both transportations have a specific time of when they're going to show up but they never come on time. Which is really ridiculous. Especially since now they're raising the fare when they had just raised it. Do they not even think about how there are some families who are disability and it's hard to come up with change sometimes when the student has a half fare ? Do they not think about how people have rent to pay or bills or even have to pay for food when they need to or when they're hungry so they get a sandwich so they won't starve ? Or think about how we need money to buy clothes, support ourselves, our families just to survive this corrupt world ??? No. Obviously not if they keep raising the fare. They should not raise the fare when they can't even show up on time and as for the schedules that are set up for the times they're supposed to come should not even be there in the first place because they always make people run late to wherever they have to go and that mostly is work and school which are important because with work you need the money to survive and you need an education so you can be successful when you get older. So the MTA can suck it with their fare because they are truly ridiculous. If they're going to raise the fare, they should at least show up on time so we can get to our destination ON TIME.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
