After months of freedom and engaging in reckless behavior while away at college, moving back in with your parents is a huge adjustment. It's great to have home cooked meals, go on family trips, and time with them again, but it isn't always easy to follow their rules. If there's anyone who understands what college kids go through each summer when returning home, it's Debbie Gallagher from "Shameless."

1. When they constantly ask where you're going/what you're doing/who you're doing it with

Warning: an unfavorable answer is "I don't know."

2. When you're constantly the center of attention

I understand you've missed me but I've gotten used to being able to isolate myself from everyone and everything.

3. When they ask you about friends who you lost touch with while away at school

...And let's face it. These people are just not people you want to be talking about.

4. When they call you lazy for sleeping in for the first 5 days of summer

We're just trying to catch up on the sleep we haven't gotten for the past nine months!

5. When they still try to baby you in some ways and you just aren't having it

Do they not understand that change is a good thing?

6. When, while living under their roof, you consistently need something to take the edge off

Sorry, not sorry.

7. When they're surprised that you have slightly matured enough to help them out with tasks around the house

Surprise! Living on your own actually turns you into a functioning human.

8. When you come back home and they try to find out all the juice from when you were gone

Some things are better left unsaid.

9. When you have endless food opportunities at home... Something you're not quite used to while living on your own

There's nothing more beautiful than a fully stocked fridge.

Although we give our parents a hard time because we've adapted to obeying little to no rules, being surrounded by your friends all the time and not having to answer their questions, coming home isn't so bad. We all need a break from college life for at least a little while, whether we realize it or not.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
