New Years is almost here, which means that we can finally say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019! For a lot of people, including myself, 2018 may have seemed like a bad year. With political unrest, shootings and the crash of the stock market, you can understand why 2018 may not have seemed like a great year. However, 2019 has a lot of things to look forward to! There are tons of movies and shows coming out, and a lot of them are more highly anticipated than the movies and shows that came out in 2018.

Here are 10 movies and shows that will make 2019 a better year than 2018.

1. "Stranger Things" Season 3

This is one of the most highly anticipated shows that's coming back in 2019! "Stranger Things" is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, and season 3 is premiering sometime in April. A lot of things about season 3 have been kept under wraps, however, we were given the titles of each of the episodes along with the main title of season 3! And if season 3 is as great as its previous seasons, it will be one thing that will make 2019 a great year.

2. "The Lion King"

If you love Disney live actions, then in 2019 you will have a lot to look forward to! Disney is releasing "The Lion King" as a live-action film November 2019! Beyonce will even be the voice of Nala! The movie will use CGI, which is similar to the animation that was used in "The Jungle Book" live-action remake. Every Disney fan knows that "The Lion King" is one of the best classic Disney movies of all time, and if Disney can make a live action that can beat its original animated classic, then it will definitely be something that will make 2019 better than 2018!

3. "Aladdin"

This is another Disney classic to look forward to in 2019! Almost every Disney fan places "Aladdin" as one of their favorites. Even though Robin Williams is sadly no longer around to play the role of the genie, Will Smith will be taking his place. There has even been a teaser trailer released that depicts one of the scenes of the movie. It's one movie that every Disney fan is looking forward to in 2019!

4. "Avengers: Endgame"

Almost every Marvel fan knows that this is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019! "Avengers: Endgame" is the sequel to "Avengers: Infinity War," which had an ending that shocked viewers. After watching the huge jaw-dropping cliffhanger, fans will no longer have to wait since the sequel will finally be released on April 26, 2019. The trailer has already been released and shows what fans can look forward to for the upcoming sequel. It's one thing that every Marvel fan can look forward to watching in 2019, even if April may seem like a long time to wait.

5. "Pet Sematary"

If you are a huge Stephen King fan, you'll be happy to know that there will be a remake of the "Pet Sematary" coming out in April 2019! The movie is a remake of the original movie made in 1989 and is based on Stephen King's book "Pet Sematary." It's the one story that could cause nightmares during anyone's childhood, including mine. Honestly, when I watched the original movie, it gave me more nightmares as a child more than the movie "IT" had! The trailer almost shows that this movie may be even more creepy than the original movie.

6. "Big Little Lies" Season 2

If you enjoyed season one as much as I did, you'll be happy to know that season two is premiering in 2019! Though HBO hasn't announced what month the show will premiere, they have announced that it will be sometime in 2019. The show will feature all of the same characters from season one and will introduce new characters. One of them is Perry's mom, who will be played by Meryl Streep! It's one show that you can look forward to watching in 2019!

7. "Captain Marvel"

Another Marvel movie that will get you excited for 2019 is the release of "Captain Marvel." It's expected to premiere the month before "Avengers: Endgame" comes out! Since the superhero was hinted to appear in the sequel, which was shown in the end credits scene in the last Avengers movie, a lot of fans have been excited to see the superhero cameo. It's definitely another reason to be excited for 2019!

8. "Spider-Man: Far From Home"

While no trailer has been released yet, the movie is still highly anticipated for anyone who enjoyed the first movie! Anyone who loves Tom Holland in the first Spider-Man movie will enjoy the sequel!

9.  The final season of "Game Of Thrones"

If you are a huge GOT fan, you'll be excited to know that the final season is being released in April 2019! Though fans will be sad to see the show end, it's still another thing to look forward to.

10. "IT Chapter 2"

Finally, if you enjoyed the last remake of "IT," then you'll look forward to 2019 since the sequel is coming out in September! The movie was a remake of Stephen King's miniseries and book that a lot of people had grown up reading or watching, including me. The trailer was also recently released, and the movie definitely looks more creepy than the last one! Seeing the same character as adults and the same kid actors is something to look forward to in 2019.

If you're looking for a few reasons why you should look forward to 2019, you can anticipate all of these movies and shows that will be coming out! There are so many more movies and shows that are coming next year that it's hard not to feel excited for the year to change. So mark your calendars and check out watching all of these movies or shows in 2019.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
