Star Wars. King Kong. Spider-Man. 2017 looks like a big year for superheroes and action stars. There are so many movies coming out this year that are definitely worth a watch. Here are a few promising 2017 movies.

1. Fate of the Furious

Fate of the Furious is coming out on April 14, 2017. It is the eight movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Most of the movies in the franchise have been hits, but definitely the first and the fifth movie will always be amazing. Hopefully, this movie will be better than the sixth movie. I think what makes this movie different from the rest in the series is that Dom turns against his family. So most people would be curious to figure out why he did turn against his family. Also, this movie is the last in the series. So naturally, folks would want to watch the last movie of the series for "one last ride." I might have teared up when I saw Paul Walker in the trailer, but who wouldn't. I think Fate of the Furious will most likely be a blockbuster.

2. Star Wars: Episode VIII

Star Wars: Episode VIII is coming out on December 15, 2017. That is really a long time, but this movie is making some serious buzz out in the cinema world. Since the last movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, everyone is curious to see what happens next in the saga featuring Daisy Ridley, Rey, and Adam Driver, Kylo Ren. Recently, Carrie Fisher passed away. Fortunately, the film completed in July. Sadly, Carrie did not see the final outcome of the movie. RIP Carrie. The Star Wars family will miss you. Although there is nothing much to go off of since the trailer isn't even out yet, however, it is Star Wars, so one can predict that this movie will blow the charts.

3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming out May 5, 2017. The first Guardians of the Galaxy was just amazing! Five of the uniquest characters team up together to bring comedy, romance, and action. My favorite character is Groot! After what happened to him in the first movie, I am glad he came back as baby Groot! This movie will definitely gross the same or higher than the first movie in the series. Star Lord, Chris Pratt, brings out the childish in himself, even though he is a sueprhero. This makes even better because who doesn't love comedy. The blend of humor and action is what made the first movie great, and, hopefully, the second movie even better!

4. Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is set to come out March 17, 2017. This is the live version of the adaption of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Everyone knows and has seen the 1991 Beauty and the Beast. However, it is a live version which will make the movie even better. The movie stars Emma Watson who will play the role of Belle. I feel like Belle's and Emma's personalities collide with each other like they are both studious. Emma will play the role of Belle very graciously. The trailer even proves it. The movie will catch the audience in a heartwarming way just like the 1991 version.

5. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is set to release on June 2, 2017. I truly believe that this movie will make history because it is a movie about a female superhero. Also, the director is also female. Only two females have ever directed superhero movies. Barriers are starting to break down in the cinema world. Batman, Superman, and Spiderman all have movies that describe where they are from and how they became a superhero. This new upcoming movie will reveal why Wonder Woman is such an iconic hero. I am glad DC is stepping up their game. This movie might just be the break they have been looking for.

Of course there are so many good movies coming out this year, however, these are a few movies I thought that appealed to me. What are some of your favorite movies coming out this year?

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
