Going to the movies is something that everybody loves to do; however, studios are starting to love the idea of streaming their own media on a service! Netflix, soon Disney plus, Hulu, Amazon and the rest are all beginning to release their own content. How much longer until they attempt to sell their movies over a streaming service rather than a mom and pop theater?
Thankfully, going to the movies will not be going away...probably ever. Look at the theater and stage productions, they're something out of history but still very popular. Going to the movies is just like going to see a performance, the only difference is that the production isn't live and it's ripe with more possibilities than a play is because of special effects. No offense to play fanatics, but they will never be able to give me a better Star Wars production than what I would see in the theater.
I love the movies. I'll be going till the day I die, however, I still would rather go and sit in a dark room and become engrossed within a different world and it's story. Even going to watch a movie listening to strangers reactions as we all watch the movie in front of us. It makes it all the more better!
