Goodbye 2016, hello 2017. 2017 is a year full of movies, literally. There are so many promise movies especially sequels coming out in theaters near you. There are movies for everyone and every genre, so grab a friend or family member and make sure you check these out.
Action/Adventure
Justice League
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But, despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. This super-hero action movie will be out in theaters November 17, 2017.
The Fate of Furious
Fast and Furious is back for a final movie. Now that Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon, Brian and Mia have retired from the game, and the rest of the crew has been exonerated, the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom back into a world of crime that he can't seem to escape, the crew will face trials that will test them as never before. Make sure to see this movie in theaters April 14, 2017.

On June 2, 2017, two kids hypnotize their mean high school principal and turn him into their comic book creation, the kind-hearted and elastic-banded Captain Underpants. This movie is a family comedy and will have the whole family laughing the whole night.
Despicable Me 3
Gru is back for a third movie. He and his wife Lucy must stop former '80s child star Balthazar from achieving world domination. This movie comes out in theaters June 30, 2017.
The Boss Baby
This comedy animation will have the whole family laughing. In this film a suit-wearing briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his seven-year old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co. Just watch the trailer, I was laughing during it. This film comes out March 31, 2017.

Fist Fight
This film with Charlie Day and Ice Cube will be sure to have everyone laughing. On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher Andy Campbell is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration, and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland, who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throwdown after school. Be sure to go see this movie in theaters February 17,2017.
Table 19
Starring Anna Kendrick, an ex-maid of honor Eloise is having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text who decides to hold her head high and attend her oldest friend's wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the random table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets. As everyone's secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Table 19, comes out to theaters March 3, 2017.

Drama
A Dog’s Purpose
This movie is following the life of a dog, throughout many different lives and all the lessons he has learned. The movie takes an unexpected twist when he ends up with his very first owner he ever had. If you love dogs, be sure to go and see this film in theaters February 2017. Here is the trailer, but watch out even the trailer could make you tear up.
Downsizing
"Downsizing" is a drama/comedy film that follows a kindly occupational therapist who undergoes a new procedure to be shrunken to four inches tall so that he and his wife can help save the planet and afford a nice lifestyle at the same time. Downsizing comes out in theaters December 22, 2017.

Fantasy
Beauty and the Beast
This is a remaking of one of Disney’s favorite film’s Beauty and the Beast. Emma Watson stars as Belle and Dan Stevens as the monstrous beast. This film will be showing in all theaters March 17, 2017.
The Dark Tower
This Stephen King film is about Gunslinger Roland Deschain who roams an Old West-like landscape in search of the dark tower, in the hopes that reaching it will preserve his dying world.Be sure to check out this film in theaters July 28, 2017
Jumanji
Jumanji is an upcoming American fantasy adventure film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Scott Rosenberg. It is a spiritual sequel and continuation of the 1995 film of the same name and will have a tribute to the late Robin Williams. December 22, 2017.

Get Out
From the producers of Annabelle and Insidious, Get Out is a film where Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined. Annabelle 2
Annabelle is back in a sequel, where several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle. Make sure to check this out, in theaters August 11, 2017.

Science Fiction
Geostorm
This film starring Gerard Butler is about when catastrophic climate change endangers Earth's very survival, world governments unite and create the Dutch Boy Program: a world-wide net of satellites, surrounding the planet, that are armed with geoengineering technologies designed to stave off the natural disasters. So two estranged brothers who are tasked with solving the program's malfunction before a world-wide Geostorm can engulf the planet. This film is set to hit theaters October 20, 2017.

Romance
Fifty Shades Darker
Wounded Christian Grey is back and tries to entice a cautious Anastasia Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian's past start to circle them, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together. Just in time for Valentine’s Day check this film out February 10, 2017.
My Cousin Rachel
