As a college student, classes are stressful and we hardly find a break in-between the weekdays. This weekend I decided to take a break and enjoy myself and what better way to do that then go to the movies?!

Coming from a person who only watches scary movies majority of the time, I decided to switch things up and get out of my comfort zone, and go see something different. This weekend, I went to go see "When the Bough Breaks". I honestly gave this movie 3.5 out of a 5-point scale, which, to me, it isn't that bad.

Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall were cast as John and Laura Taylor,a big-time chief and a very successful attorney. A very well-known couple in the city of New Orleans. Even with their busy lives, they still had one goal, it was to have a child of their own. After three miscarriages, the chances were slim-to-none and then, in the midst of everything, they found a beautiful surrogate, Anna(Jaz Sinclair), a waitress and plans to do good with the money afterward that includes her boyfriend Mike (Theo Rossi).

After finding out Mike was abusive, the Taylor's took her in and put her in the guest house in their luxurious home. During the pregnancy, Anna went from a good sweet innocent girl to something very different. Her feelings for John Taylor grew and she grew even more obsessed, after realizing that she deserves better.

For a PG-13 movie, it was pretty good, Sinclair's transaction from sweet to sour was very unexpected, but was very much needed, because, before loyalty, from either one, wasn't a problem, but with everything going on, Laura was really contemplating the loyalty to her husband. All because Sinclair's lust, or love, for the married man.

For me, it took a while to get to the major plot of the movie, I felt that a little more suspense would have kept my attention, in the beginning. I'm used to it being halfway short and getting to the drama, I'll say. The only thing I can honestly say is that the ending made me upset, just for the simple fact that you can't end a movie like that and keep the people ready for more. I also felt that there should have been more action parts in the movie to give it a little bit more life. As I stated before, this film was worth 3.5 out of 5 point star.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
