The excitement does lead to a failure...
Movies are amazing, they are a greatly written script that can be produced into an hour or two long film. Most of the entertainment purposes do match our needs, just like watching a show, except with seasons. All different movie genres can attract an audience, especially if they preferably have a favorite type, and for me, it happens to be horror films. Now, we all want to watch a scary movie that doesn’t only have a great physical killer, but also some cool, creepy paranormal stuff that will make you jump. I want to be able to watch a horror movie that can really terrify me to the point where I might have a hard time going to sleep at night. I am pretty sure all my horror movie fans can relate to this as much as I can. There needs to be an awesome plot and ending of the movie, it can’t just start without any background information and end in a way that still keeps the audience clueless of what they just witnessed. I know a couple of movies that weren’t so scary and terrifying at all. Here are the top 5 worst movies:
Crimson Peak.
It’s cool that this movie takes us back in history. I love the fact that it had a story to it that keeps being mentioned throughout the scenes. Although, things seem to start getting edgy once the “spirit” starts making its presence. Now, we are all waiting for something crazy to happen and wondering when things will go down. How is it that the whole entire time the spirit literally makes an appearance towards the last 15 minutes of the movie and is a good “ghost.” The whole entire time the ghost was just trying to warn Edith ( the main character) about “Crimson Peak.” It was just unbelievable how I spent time waiting for something bad and scary to happen, but nothing. I would never watch that movie again.
Paranormal Activity.
Paranormal stuff is cool, it’s something that is most definitely worth watching. Everyone loves a good ole coldness rushing through your neck giving you the chills no? But honestly, I wasn’t too fond of the whole movie being shown while recording what goes on in the house. There are multiple of series for the movie but not one has freaked me out. One may show possession, but it wasn’t quite there to make you jump. It was more paranormal things going on in the house without really showing anything. What made it even less scary was the fact that every bit and piece of it was being recorded. Paranormal Activity was a slow movie for me, there just could’ve been more added to it to make it pop out more.
Housebound.
When I first read the summary of this movie and watched the trailer, boy did it look like something worth watching. As I wait for something to happen, I see that there are creepy things going on in that house and things start to rumble. My attention starts getting more pierced and wondering what the “thing” may be that is making the house itself be “haunted.” Of course, then I realize that something is not right when the main character hears something behind the walls. At this point part of the movie, I’m getting pretty freaked because I don’t know what is behind those walls. While the movie plays on, and the girl starts investigating, she eventually finds a man secretly living behind walls. So, the whole entire movie, there was no ghost, it was just a human-being all along. GREAT! Thanks for ruining the movie for me that I looked so forward in watching too.
The Babadook.
How is it that in this movie the freaking “thing” or whatever it even looks like a creature. I don’t even know how to describe the thing, what is it? “The Bye-Bye Man?” What makes it even worse is that the creature ends up living in the basement at the end and does not really do anything as long as you feed it. Till this day, I am confused by the way the movie ended and why the creature isn’t still harming the family. Was it really the father of the kid protecting him and his mother, or no? Still, I think the movie’s ending could’ve been better and interesting.
Blair Witch.
This movie was such trash. Again, why is it recording the scenes, I can’t see what is going on, especially because it’s dark and the camera person keep moving every second. The creature isn’t even a ghost or demon either, it looks like a bony monster. It actually made me laugh because it only appears at the very ending of the movie. For some it might be creepy if they go into the woods, but really for me the movie was just a joke. I’m pretty sure anyone who saw the movie can relate to me that this movie was a complete waste. Adam Wingard, please do a better job in the next movie, or I should say, the screen writer.
