Movement through the water
Transgressing through the transparent colors of my mind,
I see you seeping through the cracks trying to hide,
But the thing is, you can’t, I will always see you.
Your reflection fades into the clouds of my dreams
I gaze up at them, a raindrop in my eye forming
As it rolls down into the sea of all our murky lies.
We painted the water colors wrong on what was already colored,
No beauty, no plain surface,
No porcelain white, just blues and blacks.
Like the water that keeps on flowing
So do the burnt bruises in our hearts
Thumping 1,2 1,2 1,2.
Water like blood, a stream of pained cries
Escapes our lips, as we look into the unknown
And fall into our drowning sorrow.
We look, we touch, we love
We move, flat, bummed bodies,
Along with the current to the bottom of what we created.
Water in and out
We scream, we shout, “don’t take us”
Our breaths shudder and fill with water,
Lights out.
