I am a big believer in words. Their power gets me through sticky situations. Currently, I am struggling to find motivation to get through finals. I am turning to words to get me through those dreaded tests.

"Nothing can dim the light that shines from within." -Maya Angelou

No matter what happens on your finals, you still have YOU. You are not defined by any grade, number, or percentage.

"Nothing's impossible; The word itself says it "I'm Possible." -Audrey Hepburn

Sorry, I had to. This might be the most generic motivational quote in the books, but it does the trick for me. If you need an 'A' on your final to get the grade you want, don't lose hope. Shoot for that A and know that it's in sight.

"Whenever we begin to feel as if we can no longer go on, hope whispers in our ear to remind us that we are strong." -Robert M. Hensel

You ARE strong. You will get through these finals if you keep plugging and hoping for the best.

"The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realists adjusts the sails;" -William A. Ward

You are the only one who can change your situation. If you are unhappy with a grade or your performance in a class, view finals as your time to make adjustments.

Words are my way of coping. Yours could be exercise or music. I hope that these special words help you get through those nasty exams.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
