Motivation For When Everything Is Going Wrong

You are precisely where you are supposed to be.

Motivation For When Everything Is Going Wrong
Brian Tracy

It's been said that "when it rains, it pours". That saying seems so accurate at times. One second, life is going great...then you hit a bump. Except that bump is actually a wall. And hitting that wall really didn't feel very good. This experience seems to hit every one of us at some point or another. Why is this wall here? And why does it have to be now? This wall is built from a combination of things that all come at you at the same time. School, work, family, or whatever else. This wall was made just for you, but you don't want anything to do with it. The truth is, that wall's name is adversity, and you need it.

Why? Why do you need this terrible experience? Why desire a truckload of stress being placed firmly on your shoulders?

Because that is how you grow.

The simple fact is, your situation is not going to be the end of the world. You might feel trapped in a tunnel with no light in sight. You go and go and there is nothing but more lovely, dark tunnel. But that tunnel is leading somewhere, and when you reach the end, that light will be the brightest you have ever seen. Of course, it is easy to say or hear this. It is a completely different thing to feel it.

I have a friend that strongly believes in karma. That belief that doing good things gets you good in return. Someone with a belief in this might think that they royally screwed up to deserve the punishment you feel from this onslaught of life. But there is another way to look at your situation. You can use it as a stepping stone, a test towards your future. I assure you, there is a reason for what is happening to you. You were meant to do great things in your life, and this is simply a way to prepare yourself for that future. What you are experiencing right now will be a memory to your future self, a memory in which you find solace. You will remember this as the time that you showed how strong you really are. Nobody else has gone through your difficulties and triumphs like you have.Nobody else can do what you can, because only you can live your life and achieve your goals.

When life is hitting you hard and your world is falling out beneath you, remember this, if nothing else. You are meant for something more than this. You have a purpose. That purpose will not be given to you. It is to be earned and proven for the world. No matter your beliefs, whether it be fate, pre-ordained, or simply the motivation of your mind. When it feels like the world is against you, it actually is the opposite. You are being given the opportunity to achieve what no one else can.

Your purpose.
