The next couple of weeks/month is going to be crazy for sports. There are so many events/games that every day will be filled with sports. This is a big time of the year for all four major U.S. sports (football, basketball, baseball and hockey). I am not going to include the Summer Olympics in this article because they kick off on Aug. 5.
1. NBA playoffs
Currently as I am writing this, the NBA playoffs are still in the first round. Normally the first round of the NBA playoffs are predictable; however, the rest of the playoffs are interesting, and we see big time players make big time plays. Stephen Curry hit 402 threes in the regular season, I wonder how many he will hit in the playoffs. Some big questions will be answered during the playoffs: Will LeBron James finally bring a ring to Cleveland? Can the Warriors tie the 2000–2001 Lakers record going 15-1?
2. NHL playoffs
I wrote a previous article on this subject and why the NHL playoffs are awesome. In essence, the NHL playoffs are awesome because you never know what is going to happen. Like the NBA playoffs, we will get answers to some of the biggest questions like: Will Alexander Ovechkin finally get a ring? Will the Chicago Blackhawks repeat?
3. NFL draft
The NFL draft is a great event, because it is the second stage of the new football season behind free agency. Leading up to the draft, especially this year, the top two picks have been traded, which causes havoc among fans. The NFL draft is a three-day spectacular, and you never know which late round picks will blossom into superstars like Tom Brady and Antonio Brown.
4. MLB season
The MLB is the only major sport that has regular season play in the spring and summer. From April 3 until the beginning of October, there will be only two days without a baseball game being played, and that is the day before and the day after the all-star game. There's a good chance that a baseball game is being played whenever you look.
