We have finally reached that time of year where all the winter snow melts and we see a rebirth of all the plant and wildlife. Meteorologist predicted that this past winter would be the warmest winter in many years, however, it turned out to be one of the most bizarre winters as we saw brutal winter storms effect most of the country. Even the areas that don’t normally see snow were affected in some way. Considering how unpredictably snowy this past winter was, it is safe to assume that a lot of people are anticipating this year’s spring season. Here is a list of 5 things that will help you make the most out of this year’s spring season:

1. Prep Your Car.

There is no doubt that the winter can take its toll on our cars with all the salt, ice, and extreme cold. This is why you need to get your car ready for the spring season. Considering that spring is also known as the season of rain, it is recommended that you change your windshield wipers as the winter ice can damage them and render them useless in the heavy spring rain. Also, the extreme cold causes our car tires to lose air pressure so you should check the pressure of all your tires and fill them with air if needed. Most gas stations charge up to a dollar in quarters to use their air machines, however, some gas stations like Get Go allow you to fill your tires for free. Following these simple recommendations before the Spring Season is fully underway can help save you from a lot of trouble on the road.

2. Coordinate An Outdoor Workout Routine.

One the best about the Spring season is the fact that provides some of the best weather to exercise outside. It's not too hot or too cold, which makes for perfect running weather. Considering the fact that running on a treadmill can have a harmful effect on your legs and undeniably boring, Spring is possibly the best time of year to go for a run around the city. Exercising outside during the Spring season also provides a sense of motivation that you cannot get in your basement, so odds are you’ll get more done exercising outside than inside.

3. Plan A Spring Break Trip.

Possibly the most popular things for young adults to do during Spring break is to take a Spring break trip to Florida, Cancun, or somewhere else warm. These trips are where a lot of good memories that you will reflect on when you and your friends are older are made. While it may seem as if these trips can be expensive, doing enough research and planning ahead can make them surprisingly affordable.

4. Plant A Garden.

While the winter season is often affiliated with being calm and quiet, it can also be one of the most stressful times of the year. From dealing with the holiday season to dealing with the winter conditions causing damage to our cars and houses, the Winter Season can us a lot of grief. This is why you should consider starting a garden once the spring season is underway. Planting and maintaining a garden can be very therapeutic and rid you of some of the stresses life threw at you during the winter season. Not to mention it will help your living environment, whether it’s a house or an apartment, match the abundance of colors that comes with the new plant life that thrives during the Spring season.

5. Clean Your Garage.

The Spring season always calls for Spring cleaning and there is no better part of the house to clean than your garage. This is because we often pack all the patio furniture, yard equipment, and other miscellaneous things away in your garage during the winter season. Combine this with the debris that gets carried in with the snow, our garages can become rather dirty. Once Spring comes around, it time to enjoy the near perfect weather before the heat waves of the summer are upon us. Cleaning out your garage by seeping the debris left over by the winter, wiping down and setting up your patio furniture, and reorganizing your yard equipment can make your outdoor Spring experience more enjoyable.

Considering that this past Winter season was one of the most bizarre Winter's in recent history, the Spring weather can't get here soon enough. Following the tips on this list will allow you to get a jumpstart on the 2018 Spring season and will surely make it even more enjoyable than it already will be.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
