Most Popular Resolutions That Never Get Fulfilled

According to statisticbrain.com, 45% of Americans actually make New Year's resolutions. 49% of people have infrequent success with keeping up with their goal. The top ten resolutions are:

1. Lose Weight

Thought: "New year, new me. I'm going to get up, eat a healthy breakfast, and lose some weight"
Actual outcome: *Hits alarm*  "I'll start tomorrow"

2.  Getting Organized

Thought: "My desk is messy, first things first: throw away old homework."
Actual outcome: "I may need this later down the road, I'll just keep it in here."

3. Spend Less, Save More.

Thought: "Okay, my bank account says $550.00. I want to keep it above $500.00."

Actual outcome: "WOW! These shoes are $60.00 and on sale, that extra ten dollars won't hurt."

4. Enjoy Life to the Fullest

Thought: "I'm just one big ray of sunshine, I'm so happy. I feel like singing and dancing. OMG I'm going to do a good deed today."

Actual outcome: "I hate everyone. Don't look at me."

5. Staying Fit and Healthy.

Thought: "I'm going to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch (salad), and dinner (another salad)."
Actual outcome: "Well, this pizza is only 1200 calories, I'll take 2."

6. Learn Something Exciting.

Thought: "I really just want to try something new and exciting. Maybe I will start a yoga class or travel the world."
Actual outcome: "I've already learned everything, what else is there?"

7. Quit Smoking.

Thought: "I can do this. I can quit smoking. Cold turkey. No more. I got this."

Actual outcome: "2 packs a day isn't so bad."

8. Help Others in Their Dreams.

Thought: "I really just want to be a good person. I'm going to help my younger siblings reach their goals and make sure their dreams come true."

Actual outcome: "Life is like the hunger games, you are on your own kid."

9. Fall in Love.

Thought: "New year, new boy. I really just want a healthy relationship this year. I mean surely there is someone out there for me. Hello, Prince Charming?"
Actual outcome: "I hate boys. I hate boys. I hate boys. WHY WHY WHY WHY!!! I didn't need you anyway, I've got ice cream and tissues"

10. Spend More Time with Family

Thought: "When I come home, I will hang out with my family. I miss them so much, I will make an attempt to go see everyone"

Actual outcome: "There is a reason I moved out."

2015 is bringing in the new side of New Year's resolutions whether that's hitting the gym or being friendly, make it your best year yet!

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
