2016 has been a hell of a roller coaster ride already with movies like Deadpool, Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Captain America: Civil War already making the fans more excited for what's to come in the future. Here is a list of some of the most anticipated movies of 2017:
1. "Wonder Woman"
Created by the Greek god Zeus and touted as the most skilled fighter of the DC universe, Wonder Woman finally gets her own solo movie which explores her origins and how she tries to stop World War 1. Wonder Woman is played by Gal Gadot and is scheduled to hit theatres on June 2, 2017.
2. "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"
After almost 5 years, Captain Jack Sparrow is finally ready to take us on his new journey where he is frantically in search of the Trident of Poseidon. Starring Johnny Depp in the lead role, the movie is scheduled to release on May 26, 2017.
3. "Justice League"
Fanboy mode: ON!
The Justice League find themselves taking on the evil Steppen-wolf in their first battle against the villain, Darkseid. After the events of Batman vs Superman and the Death of Superman, Batman and Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) take it upon themselves to assemble a team of Earth's mightiest heroes, namely- The Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. This movie will also see the return of the fallen hero, Superman! Starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Justice League is scheduled to release on 17 November, 2017.
4. "Dunkirk"
Christopher Nolan is back with a movie set during the events of World War 2. It follows the story of British Troopers travelling to Dunkirk, France to rescue Allied Troops in 1940. The movie will be hitting theatres on July 21, 2017.
5. "Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2"
Set 2 months after the events of the first Guardians of the Galaxy, this movie talks about their journey through the cosmos. Peter Quill also meets his father, played by Kurt Russel, and discovers his true parentage. Starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, the movie is scheduled to release on May 5, 2017.
6. "Star Wars Episode VIII"
The 10th installment in the Star Wars Franchise, this movie continues where Episode VII left off with Rey being trained to become a Jedi by Luke Skywalker. It also continues to talk about her epic journey with Poe Dameron and Finn. The movie is scheduled to release in theaters on December 15, 2017.
7. "Kingsman: The Golden Circle"
Following the success of the the first Kingsman movie, they are finally back with the new one where the Kingsman Headquarters is attacked by a new villain and end up working together with the American Agency Statesman to save the world. The movie is scheduled to release on June 16, 2017.
8. "Wolverine 3"
Hugh Jackman takes on the mantle of the Wolverine for one last time in the last Wolverine movie *sniff*. The plot is undisclosed at this time but the movie is scheduled to release on March 3, 2017.
9. "Spiderman: Homecoming"
The friendly neighborhood web slinger officially makes his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release of Spiderman: Homecoming. Followed by a brief cameo in Captain America: Civil War, Homecoming talks about Peter's school life and his secret crime fighting days alongside the playboy billionaire, Tony Stark. Starring Tom Holland as Spiderman, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Zendaya as the beautiful Mary Jane Watson, Spider-man: Homecoming is scheduled to hit theatres on July 7, 2017.
10. Fast 8"
The team is back on yet another epic journey but this time without Paul Walker. Starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, the movie is scheduled to release on April 12, 2017.
