A new year means new movies that are most likely to succeed at the box office. There are plenty of movies coming out this upcoming year, from action-packed to animated films. 2016 will not only bring us a new President, but also a lot of entertainment.

1. Deadpool (February 12, 2016)

Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, a Special Forces operative suffering from cancer that after being subjected to an experiment he is left with new abilities. One of those abilities includes superhuman healing powers, now he is after the man that almost ruined his life.

2. Zoolander 2 (February 12, 2016)

After 15 years, 2001’s “Zoolander” gets a sequel. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are back to take on the roles of Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald again. This time, the most famous musicians are being killed with the “Blue Steel” look on their faces and you can count on Derek and Hansel to get into the bottom of this.

3. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25, 2016)

Not only do we get to see Batman and Superman in one movie (finally!) but we get to see them fighting each other. Henry Cavill will reprise the character of Superman while Ben Affleck is portraying Batman for the first time. The movie also features Jesse Eisenberge, Amy Adams and Gal Gadot will portray Wonder Woman. Yes! So not only are we going to have Superman and Batman but also Wonder Woman. #GirlPower

4. Finding Dory (June 17, 2016)

It feels like an eternity for the child inside of us to finally get a sequel to our favorite animated movie, “Finding Nemo”, after 13 years. Taking place after six months that Nemo was found, Dory who suffers from short-term memory loss remembers her childhood and wants to reunite with her family. Of course, Marlin and Nemo are along for the ride.

5. Ghostbusters (July 15, 2016)

Taking the same plot as the classic 1984 original movie, this remake will include an all female cast. Scientists become ghost busters trapping ghosts and spirits until they stumble into a doorway that releases the evil on New York City. The main cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

6. Suicide Squad (August 5th, 2016)

This film is probably the most anticipated movie of the upcoming year. It revolves around the super villains who take a secret government mission that might end up killing them. This film includes an incredible cast, Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto who plays the Joker, and stars in a scene with Batman fighting the Joker. We get Batman twice in a year!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
