I live in a house full of night owls, and I'm the only one who is not a night owl. I'm the type of person who needs their sleep big time. 12 am is late to me, especially since I always wake up before 9 am every day. I like working morning shifts at Stop and Shop because I get the job done, and I'm out and have the afternoon to myself.

The morning is peaceful, and I enjoy waking up to the birds chirping. But that is not to say that I enjoy waking up at that time; I would love to sleep in but my body just doesn't let me. I would definitely love to hit snooze on the alarm clock as much as I could. The only problem though is that I wake up before the alarm. If you agree with me, you like me, are the ultimate morning person.

Here are some signs you really love the morning too:

1. You go to the gym and there's hardly anyone there

2. No one is around, and you have a couple of hours to yourself

3. You get to watch all of the Today Show

4. Hardly anyone goes food shopping in the morning

5. Your energy levels are up and last the whole day

6. You really don't need an alarm clock to wake me up

7. You get to watch the sunrise (if you're up that early)

8. Your day isn't wasted away by getting up before 9 am

9. You get so much done before noon

10. You just get to relax at night before you go to bed

11. You get to enjoy a nice cup of tea

Not everyone is a morning person, and that is fine. I like being a morning person because I have the whole day ahead of me, and I feel like I can conquer anything.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
