I am not sure who you are, where you are from or aware of any of your beliefs but this is for you. I am not sure what exactly you are longing to hear, but hopefully you find it right here. Words are more then something you put on paper or read in text books, words have meaning. Some of them make you feel like you could take on the world, while other can make you feel like your floating on cloud nine, then there are words that can touch your soul in multiple ways.

I am not sure what it is that you so desperately want to hear to make your day. Words have meaning and with words come consequences. Words determine how you will go about your day, do not let people tell you that you are the problem because they are simply wrong. That's the problem with words, and with people is that all sort of words come flooding out. Take a moment did you think about the meaning, did you think about how that person might have felt, or were you just being shallow enough to hit there low point?

You are beautiful as the sun beating down on a sparkling lake, you are so intelligent, you are the future that I believe in, your opinion means the world to me... Listen those simple statements are more than just words, they have meaning. I am not telling you to become more sensitive towards people's feeling, but I am telling you think before you speak. The words you say today you may not take back tomorrow, a person may forgive you but emotionally they are not alright.

A person is not born sensitive but it was the meaning behind the words that made some one that way, it was the context in which it was used, it was the situation one found themselves in and it takes them back. Your words are more thn words; they have meaning.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
