Our relationship is what some would call

complex

Our beliefs and ideas

separate us

while the Earth balances in the middle

forever holding Her peace.

However, I think it's sad to see you cry

on the nights when you don't

show up in the sky.

I think it is a shame how you only show

one side of yourself

while the entire world wonders

what the other half looks like.

The truth is, dear Moon,

that you have more to offer to the world

than simply being a beacon of light in the dark sky.

You pull the tides that I keep company all day

and put to sleep the creatures

that I have kept awake.

We've always been compared as

opposites, enemies really.

However, without you dear Moon,

there would be no fascination left to

Earth while I'm gone.

I hope this doesn't come as

too forward,

but I'd like to say

you bring beauty to the night

just as I bring beauty to the day.
