God has recently put several individuals in my pathway that have reminded me "Money Can't Buy Happiness". Life is a journey and at the end of the road there isn't a Brinks truck behind! What people will share at your funeral won't be the size of your house but instead the size of your heart. It won't be how cute the shoes are you walk in but how far you would walk to help others.
As next month approaches I am challenging myself and each of you to dedicate the blessings of "Free to the Month of February"! Feel it don't buy it will be powerful!
Money can buy a false illusion of control but not faith! Trust in the light is nothing but trust in the darkness is faith. I have been privileged to see a couple walk away from a high paying job that was leading no where to ministry and missions providing riches money can't buy. Proverbs 10:22 says, "The blessing of the Lord makes me Rich". I have witnessed my best friend turning and growing in faith during a year of confusion, change, and challenge when others would try to buy their way happy. In February put one foot in front of the other and let faith help you climb the mountains that doubt has created.
Money can buy medicine but not health! It has touched all of our lives. The loss that leaves a hole that time and God turn into a scar. A mother of 3 children with a loving husband taken by illness, a sister taken in an accident, a child taken from the world when his/her story was barely started. Life and health are priceless, finite and fragile. Take the time in February to say too much, show too much, love without limits!
Money can buy outside appearance but never inward beauty! A pretty face will never mask an ugly heart! Your outward glitter will fade with age but the stardust in your veins will last forever! In February embrace opportunities for small and random acts of kindness. It can be as simple as making someone smile; every act of genuine kindness grows the spirit and strengthens the soul.
May your February be filled with adventure and stories to share not things and "stuff" to show.
