One of my favorite parts of the fall is being able to cuddle up next to a fire with a cup of coffee and a baked good to nibble at. The better part of the year, I look forward to the some Italian cookies to accompany my coffee. However, when the seasons change from bright to spice, what I look forward to most, is my mom's pumpkin bread.
I am about to let all of you in one of my favorite recipes. Remember to follow exactly, or it will not turn out right.
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 1/2 cup Oil
6 Eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1 3/4 cup Pumpkin
1 cup Water
4 1/2 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup Walnuts (optional)
Directions: Beat together first six ingredients. Blend in remaining one at a time. Grease two loaf pans. Fill pans 2/3 way. Bake at 350 degrees for about one hour, or until ready.
Most important step: Share with loved ones.
