On September 15th, 2016, a video surfaced the Internet of a 13-year-old girl who appeared on the Dr. Phil Show and, by her aggressive responses and slurred speech, she has now been turned into an Internet meme. Though she is quite an interesting character, you may find yourself relating to her in these moments.
Your friend’s reaction to your crush
There’s a pivotal moment when you actually start to like someone and finally tell your friends. Their response usually go something like, “Can I see a picture?” You then reply, “Yeah,” and then subsequently search for the best possible picture you can find of that person. It’s not that their opinion will dictate whether you’re attracted to that person, but regardless, something about it makes you seek approval. When they plainly respond with, “Yeah, they’re okay,” something inside you makes you want to say, “Cash me ousside, how bow dah?”
When someone tries to take a picture of you
Candid pictures are wonderful because they aren’t actually candid. That picture of you eating fruit and laughing on the beach was planned long before you even set foot in the sand. Your friend pulls out Snapchat and records you doing something embarrassing, and you start to feel overwhelmed. Candids were fun until they weren’t actually candid; now you’re on a million people’s Snapchat stories. You turn into Danielle when the cameras follow her backstage.
When someone is walking slow in front of you
Okay, so maybe it’s your fault that you’re late to class. Sometimes, you end up in a Youtube black hole and before you know it, it’s 3 a.m. The person walking slowly in front of you though is definitely not helping; I mean, don’t they have anywhere to be? You get close on their heels, and the crowded pathway allows for no room to pass this sloth. In your head, it sort of sounds like this:
When you see your friends on Snapchat hanging out without you
Despite the fact that you turned down your friends' requests to hang out all week, when they don’t ask you to hang out, you can’t help but get a sinking feeling. Somehow, everything seems to look like more fun on Snapchat. In the aftermath of it all, when they’re talking about all the fun they had, they’ll say something like, “You should’ve come!” You then reply, “Invite me, how bow dah?”
Anytime someone tries to wake you up, ever
Both ends of this process can be extremely frustrating. Trying to get someone up when there’s somewhere you need to be is such a struggle. However, innate human nature doesn’t allow for logic in the hazy reality of the morning. Persistent people who won’t let you sleep give you this aggression that you only experience as someone who hates the morning.
