6 Moments All Women Are Wonder Woman

We don't have to be super-strong Amazonians to be able to relate to her, we just have to be strong women.

When watching "Wonder Woman" it can be easy to feel like Diana Prince is an unreachable elite of womanhood. But after watching the film myself, there were a lot of moments I know most women can relate to the Princess of the Amazons.

1. Being told you can't wear something for the sake of distracting men.

Diana is told time and time again in the movie that she can't wear her Amazonian garb into battle because there are men who will be distracted or compromised by her look. This is a moment everyday women know all too well when our skirts are too short or our bra straps are showing. Diana doesn't take it, and neither should we.

2. Having to deal with men who tell us we can't do something.

How many times have we had men look us up and down and laugh when we say we want to do something? Diana is no stranger to this, and neither is any woman I've ever spoken to. We, like Diana, just have to stick our chins up and prove we're capable.

3. Knowing kindness does not mean weakness...

Diana teaches us that sticking up for the little guy and showing empathy towards others does not make you weak, or naive. It just means that you are kind, and kindness has its own sort of strength.

4. ...and neither does femininity.

Diana is just as badass in her blue dress and heels as she is her Amazonian battle gear. She can be feminine, beautiful, and strong. Those things do not have to be mutually exclusive.

5. Not really understanding our fashion expectations.

Listen, I get it. Skinny jeans, heels, tight tops, they're all supposed to be super cute. But if I can't breathe and I'm also tripping everywhere, you've lost me.

6. Knowing that we are stronger together.

Diana doesn't see the other Amazons as competition for her. Instead, they are family. The Amazons focus on using each other's strengths to build each other up, rather than tearing them down for personal gain. We can learn from the Amazons that other women are not competition, but allies in a greater fight.

All women experience many things similar to what Diana Prince experiences in "Wonder Woman."We don't have to be super-strong Amazonians to be able to relate to her, we just have to be strong women.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
