Why My Mom Is My Best Friend

Ever since I started college, it made me realize how much I can miss home. While being away for months at a time, I also realized how close my mom and I are. I know I can go to her for anything at any hour of the day and this is why she is my best friend. But here are more reasons why my mom is my best friend.

1. She was literally my first friend

2. She visits me at work

3. She's the first person I call with good or bad news

4. We can talk on the phone for hours about nothing

5. She lets me take Snapchats with the filters

6. She laughs at my cheesy jokes

7. She randomly comes and visits me at college

8. We travel the world together, literally

9. My best friends ask about her because they love her

10. We FaceTime a lot and lets me see our pet, Spot the fish

11. She's my biggest supporter

12. She travels hours away just to watch me play softball

13. She knows me better than I know myself

My mom has been there for me since day one. Thank you for everything mom! I love you to the moon and back.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
