Saints deserve to be remembered.

We all encounter certain types of people at school, at work, in the aisles of the grocery store, post-workout at the gym when you're drenched in sweat or even exclusively online. There are some people who just restore our faith in humanity and save our sanity. Modern-day saints per se. Of the many "saints" there are in the world, here are some of my favorites who deserve recognition for making others' lives easier:

1. Saint Peter

Peter decided that maybe the 270+ people in his contact list did not need to receive the chain email that appeared in his inbox. He concluded that a creepy girl would not show up in his room in the middle of the night to murder him just because he didn't forward an email. Even if one did, Peter died so your inbox could be one email lighter.

2. Saint Brittany

Brittany only posted one photo of her new baby on Instagram. The temptation was hard to resist, but Brittany knew that her followers would only write sweet comments on one post before unfollowing or even blocking her.

3. Saint Nicholas

Nicholas decided that Christmas music should be reserved only for the month of December and that playing it prior to or post festivities was annoying and sacrilegious.

4. Saint Rosemarie

Rosemarie saw the newest hit movie and did not share her rather uninteresting opinion on any social media platform. She also didn't leak any spoilers to her friends who did not buy their tickets two months in advance to see the midnight showing after it was released.

5. Saint Michelle

Michelle always follows back on Instagram and Twitter and is somewhat of an active follower. You can always count on her to occasionally drop comments on your Instagram posts telling you that you look pretty.

6. Saint Bae

Bae always texts back and never "gets distracted by video games" or "forgets to reply."

7. Saint Jillian

Jillian only used a few hashtags that were actually directly related to the content of her posts. Jillian wasn't a fan of all the #tagforlikes nonsense.

8. Saint Zach

Zach did not find it necessary to take photos of his dinner and post them on social media. Quite frankly, he was over seeing #foodporn on his Instagram feed and didn't want to be that guy.

9. Saint Mr. Smith

Mr. Smith always rounded your grades up, no questions asked. He knew what it was like to be a permanent rider of the struggle bus.

10. Saint Bill

Bill the Uber Driver never forced conversation with any of his passengers. He also always rates his passengers five stars.

11. Saint Andrew

Andrew never wrote anything on social media that required someone to click “read more."

12. Saint Jessica

Jessica never appropriated your culture. Jessica even informed her millennial colleagues that it was not cool to wear Native American headdresses to upcoming music festivals.

13. Saint Chad

Chad believed in a woman. Thank you, Chad.

14. Saint Brad

Brad made a meme page with great content and didn’t abandon it a month after starting it. Brad has the hookup for the dank memes.

15. Saint Karen

Karen didn’t ask to speak to the manager. She also stopped getting zebra stripe highlights in her hair. Good for you, Karen.

16. Saint Austin

Austin realized it was 2018 and that "yo mama" jokes were no longer funny. It was time to find some other joke trend to catch onto.

17. Saint Debbie

Debbie realized that she should let her kids fight their own battles and stay out of grade school drama. She wouldn't be fighting their battles for them after they left high school, so why would she fight them now?

18. Saint Megan

Megan always sent all the photos that were taken on her phone to the friend group chat. She sent all of them even if she thought she looked terrible. She realized anything can be fixed with the help of Facetune.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
