Missouri (Misery) Weather
KMBC News

Growing up in the Midwest teaches you a few lessons. One that we will never learn though, is how to accurately predict the weather. One minute you're freezing and the next you're sweating profusely. Ever heard of snow in May? Seventies in February? Any absurd weather phenomenon is a common occurrence here in Missouri. When it comes to festivities and outfits, plan with caution! These could be ruined in the blink of an eye. You never know what’s going to happen in these neck of the woods.

Let’s take a look at this week’s forecast…

Monday – 45° Partly cloudy.

Of course. The overcast makes it almost impossible to get out of bed. The damp air and chilly breeze setting the mood for a case of the Monday blues.

Tuesday – 73° Sunny.

With a chilly start to the day you bundle up, but by the time you get out of your afternoon classes you have beads of sweat dripping down your face. You could care less though because it is so beautiful outside. You make it through the rest your day with ease and a smile from ear to ear.

Wednesday – 70° Sunny.

Is it too good to be true? Two nice days in a row? This has to be some form of trickery. True enough, it is. At about two in the afternoon comes torrential downpour, just in time for your walk to class. Perfect!

Thursday – 50° Thunderstorm and tornado warning in effect until five pm.

You sit in class gazing out the window when wait, is that a funnel cloud forming? No, false alarm. Then thunder roars and shakes the whole building.

Friday – 67° Sunny.

Wow, could you ask for a better a way to start the weekend? Well you probably could because the moment you step outside you almost get blown away to the next state. Gusts of wind up to 40 MPH really put damper on today’s nice weather. Oh and your cute Friday hair, good work but try again next time.

Saturday – 77° Partly cloudy.

Ah, finally! Some decent weather. Yes, cloudy but no chance of rain to ruin your plans tonight. A little breezy when the sun goes down, but nothing a light cardigan can’t remedy.

Sunday – 82° Sunny.

Better late than never I suppose. Hopefully, you don’t have plans indoors because you’re going to want to get outside and enjoy the rays of sunshine while they last.

Keep in mind this type of forecast just accounts for the spring season. In a sum our weather is hit, miss, and never a reflection of what they say on the news channel.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
