College throws you into becoming super close with people, then turns around and says that you won't live near them during summer vacation. It's cruel! I miss my best friends at school.
At school, we've spent sleepless nights together, had study nights and movie nights, thrift shopped, cried, were poor together and just EXPERIENCED our first year of school together. We came into college with no one and came out with each other. I am so thankful we have our friendship, so why does summer have to suck? Summer is just hot and friendless without them.
It's not acceptable for me to call someone at 3 a.m. at home and ask if they want to go to Eatin' Park. It's not normal for me to be awake at 4 a.m. watching a scary movie like we can at school. We never slept at school, and that's why I am who I am today. Never sleeping has made me into the high-functioning zombie-person I am, I thank them.
Summer without them, honestly, just feels lonely. They became part of my routine. They have become my support system and now summer has ripped them away. I'm so thankful for them, and I can't wait to go back to school and make a thousand more memories together.
