FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. - Authorities found the missing body of a Buffalo Trace worker who had been missing for a week.
Will Rawlings, 26, was found on Wednesday morning about two miles from where officials started to search for Rawlings. Rawlings worked as a security guard for Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Rawlings' family believes that he fell into the river while he was fishing at night, according to WKYT.
Sheriff Pat Melton told WKYT that it was normal for Rawlings to be fishing at night since he worked third shift.
Tom Russell, the Emergency Management Director, said, "Obviously, everybody understands it's a difficult situation for all involved, including the family and the responders. The longer it goes on, the tougher it is for everyone." Russell said this to a reporter at WKYT.
According to WKYT, medical officials will do an autopsy on Rawlings on Thursday.
