I could write a list of ONE THOUSAND of these cases of mispronunciation, but no one would read it. So, I settled on thirteen, a very lucky number as we all know.
While I will stick by my opinions of these words, my opinions are not necessarily "correct" according to Merriam-Webster. Well, Merriam-Webster defines the word "correct" as the following: "conforming to an approved or conventional standard". After all, since I am the one writing this article, I would like to say that the following pronunciations that I use are, in fact, conforming to the approved and conventional standard of my life. This standard is all that matters to me in regards to this article.
