I wanted to clarify something. I believe there may have been some problems with interpretation and clarification of some of my previous articles. It is my intent with my writing endeavor on this website to write honestly and give clear, understandable presentations. However, for some it may not be that way. Perhaps two or three of the articles I have written will make great examples to illustrate this point.
First, there's "5 Spiritual Lessons We Can Learn From 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood."Perhaps, this should have been called "5 Spiritual Applications of 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood." I asked a friend what they though of the article, and they said that it seemed somewhat like I was elevating the show too much with the things of God, and that people could think they could just watch the show instead of going to the Bible. Let me be clear. I believe the Bible should be the final authority on everything, and I try to live up to that principle as well as I can. Do things of the world pale in comparison to the glory of God? Yes. Does God show his influence in the world? Also yes. My intention is not for people to just be good with the spiritual themes found in the show. Instead, I wish to use the applications of the Bible to the show in order to pique the curiosity of readers to further investigate the Bible for things to apply to their lives. Perhaps the article could have been written better, but above is my explanation.
Furthermore, there was my article about my fanservice. I realized later that I may have been setting a bad example. At the time, I was still watching "Code Geass," the talking point of the article. I actually ended up finishing the series, but in retrospect, I honestly regret watching it now. Though the show had a well-crafted story, it was plagued by distracting images and angles that should not be seen by some viewers. As a follower of Christ, I should be an example to other believers, whether they be young or old. Normally I carefully examine a show's content through sections of IMDB before watching something. I check "Code Geass" about a thousand times on there (at least that's what it felt like), but I decided to watch it anyway, because the guide made it seem like the bad moments were few and far between. However, I was mistaken, as there seemed to be a few instances per episode. That is why I regret it now, and why I am reminding you that I shall try to be a better example.
