You Have Never Seen Your Own Face; A World Of Mirrors

No seriously, your two eyes have never seen your own face. Well, maybe the tip of your nose and cheeks, but you have only seen what glass reflects or what water refracts.

It's an interesting concept. However, it's extremely freaky, nonetheless. A mirror is a mechanism that almost seems impossible for humans to live without. Especially, handheld ones that show the hard-to-reach places of your body for those infrequent inspections. Maybe even the magnified mirrors to facilitate insight on the small dots growing hairs on your face. Looking deeply into orifices through a stethoscope really shines light upon the embedded shenanigans inside of the body.

The placement of two facing mirrors almost seems as if the commencement of some everlasting repetitive dimension has risen. Is it possible to find yourself stuck in the middle? At least seeing the figure of your exterior, standing before the mirrors, remains the epiglottis between pathways as the combination of attention in each direction is the alternation of dimension. With limited knowledge of our intragalactic locomotion, how far can we travel through time and space in our reflections?

But, it doesn't seem that looking into a singular placed speculum ever ceases repetition. Walking past the grocery store with tinted windows seems to be the perfect moment to look over a shoulder and check if those pants really require a tucked shirt. It becomes a game to see how many times it looks as if you're riding inside of the passing cars, as feet stand restlessly on the curb, waiting to cross. If not for all the curtained windows, how does aesthetic really please you?

Looking down is insufficient: it seems outfits are always in need of backside consideration. This is because the habits of speculation formed are due to the responses of self-recognition. The mannerisms of facial expression, the position changes to see where the clothes fall in motion, or the confirmation that they reach all around demonstrate the responses to consciousness.

The idiosyncrasies that characterize individuals are reflected. The classic movements in front of yourself can really determine the true reason you are where you're standing. There is a difference between ego and curiosity. What has compelled you to stare?

Imagine the first living thing to see themselves in a puddle of water? Wondering the reality of vision as humans are the most capable to question such. Reflections were derived from earlier refractions. As ripples forming perfect circles in nature around the reflection makes way for the finest natural tale. The reasons for deliberate usage and constant care for perspective other than your own seems to influence the purpose and the continuation of producing an outlet for the 180 degree direction of sight.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
