1. He is pro-choice. On a personal level, he disagrees with abortion. However, he has come to understand that abortion is the woman's decision and the government has no place intervening.
2. Kaine is against the death penalty. However, like abortion, he must be for the death penalty despite his personal views.
3. His father was greatly influential in anti-segregation movements in Virginia. As a Republican governor.
4. Supports restricting the Second Amendment. In 2005 he strongly supported the right to bear arms but voted to limit high capacity magazines in 2013.
5. Kaine supported Obama's decision to end the Iraq War.
6. He believes marijuana is a gateway drug and is against legal use.
7. Tim Kaine wants an easier way for students to get green cards and supports the DREAM act.
8. He is for equality of marriage.
