A Thank You To Rupi Kaur - How Milk And Honey Changed My Life
Ashleigh Perry

Back in January, my boyfriend had just broken up with me, which left a bad taste in my mouth. He ended things suddenly, which is always a fun surprise. I began to evaluate my life and all of the relationships I had been in. They always ended the same, a breakup. I am not one to express how I feel after a breakup because people tend to not understand where I am coming from. I also don't love putting my problems on someone else.

After my breakup, my friend had just finished reading the book "Milk and Honey" by Rupi Kaur. I was hanging out with her and she told me I should read some poems from the book. I immediately fell in love! She was writing poems that expressed everything I had been feeling about relationships and so much more. I had never read something so relatable. As soon as I left her apartment, I went on Amazon and ordered a copy for myself. Since that book came in the mail, my life has completely changed.

Because of how much my life has been changed by “Milk and Honey”, I just personally wanted to say THANK YOU to Rupi Kaur for writing such a beautiful work of art. I read this book within a day. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down. I had to read every single poem from start to finish. She wrote the book in four sections that hit every stage of life so beautifully. There is the breaking, the loving, the hurting, and the healing. Each was designed so perfectly to hit all aspects of life. Without this book, I would still be walking around with these negative feelings that I had pushed aside to let bottle up. Your book helped me realize the things I was holding onto and that it was time to let go of them. I also found this new strength within me that made me feel like a very strong woman. I feel like nothing can get me down in life anymore. If I do have a moment of weakness, I pick up your book and begin to read again. Your book has touched my life and so many others. I cannot say THANK YOU enough. We all appreciate and love you so much. I cannot wait to see what you do next!

We have unique flirting skills.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
