Dating someone in the service, and the wait for the welcome home hugs seems like it takes forever. But it is worth it.

I can't explain how hard it is to know that your best friend and other half is coming home, but no one else does. Military surprise videos are my absolute favorite thing to watch. The faces of the parents, kids, husbands, and wives are the most pure form or happiness.

I got to witness and videotape Hope coming home, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I knew that by knowing she was coming home for Christmas, and no one else, it would be hard not to tell anyone. But I didn't realize how hard it would be.

After getting asked in September through a letter, I agreed. It was hard not to tell anyone back home. But of course, some of my friends at school knew. I can honestly say that the anxiousness and happiness of knowing you get to see your best friend after 4 months is the best feeling ever.

Welcome home Hope.
