Midterms Week As Told By 'Grey's Anatomy'

Midterms week is always stressful. Professors try to cram a bunch of exams and projects in before break and some even try to squeeze it in afterward. You're stressing out, you're staying up late, and you're cramming, but at the end of the day you walk into your exam as ready as you'll ever be and do your best. At the end of it all, you get to go home to your bed and your dogs and try to get about the past week.

1.You're emotionally and physically exhausted because you have been pulling all nighters all week.

2. Trying to organize group projects with people.

3. When you're having a mental breakdown because you've just got too much going on.

4. When you walk out of a midterm and realize that it wasn't that hard and you spent way too much time studying.

5. When people tell you to stop stressing.

6. At the end of the week, you and everyone else made it through and you live on until finals week.

Ten Truths Every Honors Student Knows

One of the main reasons I came to Salem State was I was offered a spot in the honors program. I am glad to say that that I did find these things, and so much more. I found a home made up of some of the most brilliant and most unique people I have ever met. Being in an honors program creates a college experience unlike any other and creates some universal truths that really only an honors student can fully understand.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?
