With the first month and a half under our belts, college is in full swing and we are all dreading the midterms that are looming in the not-so-distant future. In honor of the impending nights filled with coffee, textbooks and lack of sleep, here is what we should all expect when that dreaded time arrives.
1. When you first get to the library and unload your textbooks:
2. Making notecards and study guides like:
3. When a friend sees you and comes up to chat and you're in the zone:
4. When it's midnight and the school does a surprise pop-up free coffee and pizza break outside the library:
5. After minimal sleep, returning to the library the next day and trying to read the microscopic handwriting of an entire semester's worth of Calculus crammed onto one sheet of computer paper:
6. That 3 a.m. slump that involves hysterically rolling and laughing on the floor while thinking about how much you want to cuddle a puppy:
7. When you realize you just wasted four hours of precious study time and you have a breakdown:
8. Waking up the next day determined to make up for the time you lost yesterday:
9. But it's just one of those days:
10. When you realize it is 11 p.m. and you haven't eaten or left the library yet, and the only thing still open is the 24-hour campus CVS:
11. The sugar keeps you up all night and you finish that paper at 7:55 a.m. and it's due at 8 a.m.:
12. Making a mad dash for class and walking in right at 8 a.m. to turn in your paper:13. But you still have two exams that day:
14. Your parents FaceTime you to say good luck on exams:
15. When you're halfway through your 150 multiple choice scantron test and you realize you skipped a row...
16. On the phone with your parents and they ask how exams went and all you can say is:
17. Your teacher hands your exams back and you're like:
18. But then you realize there is nothing you can do, so you just crawl to bed:
