It's that time of semester again where we are exhausted, and ready for the semester to end, which in all and all means no motivation left what so ever. You feel like you are at the end of your rope, and nothing that you do seems to be working. Well, that is exactly when you need to get some motivation. We all have that mid-semester blues, especially for students who are about to graduate at the end of the semester, or as I like to call it senioritis, well have no fear, few things that i write below have helped me in the past and will help you too if you try.

Me time

Always find time for yourself in your busy schedule, even if it means you have to make an appointment with yourself, do it! Now I don't mean go and spend all day reading your timeline on Facebook. What I mean by me time is do something for yourself, like maybe take a bubble bath, get a mani-pedi. Go grab a cup of coffee with a friend or heck even by yourself (it will give you time to think and reflect on things).

Study break

I've read somewhere that every 40 minutes of studying gets you 10 minutes of break. I have implemented this rule and trust me, this rule gets me to finish more work than before. What I usually do is set a timer for 40 minutes, and in those 40 minutes I focus and work very hard, because I know at the end of those 40 minutes I get a 10-minute break and get to do whatever I want. During my 10 minute break, either go through my social media, watch youtube videos. The only way this 10-minute break thing will also work is if you set a time for it as well, and no matter what you are doing at the end of those 10 minutes get back to you studying, stop all social media or anything else you are doing.

Be prepared

Always have your syllabus handy, so you know when is the next assignment due. Best thing to do is have a planner, may it be an actual physical planner or use your phone as your planner and write all the assignments' due dates down when you first get your syllabus. Writing them down won't do much unless you keep checking on regular basis, so you can stay on top of things.

Doing all of these things will help, but always know that semester is almost over, and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Comment below and let me know what do you do to get over your mid-semester blues? Was this helpful? Wishing you all best of luck for the rest of the semester, it's almost over guys we got this!!!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
