It is that time of year again
when college students begin to cry,
for midterms and tests start to happen then
and the brains of students begin to fry.
Early mornings and late nights
accompanied by strong coffee or tea,
have the students trying not to start fights
and meeting with their professors to plea.
The week of tests looms near
and students start to panic,
for their grades, they fear,
might start sinking like the titanic.
Okay, so maybe it's not the bad,
and maybe it's just a lot of stress.
But trying not to go mad
causes a person to become a mess.
There's a name for this phase,
you can tell from the clues.
If you see a college student in a daze,
you can blame the midterm blues.
