11 Songs From My Middle School Playlist

Middle school was part of the worst years of my life. But thankfully, I had Spotify on my Samsung Galaxy S3 which got me through it all.

1. "Broccoli" - DRAM, Lil Yachty

I still like to bop on this song but at the time I had no idea what the lyrics meant even though I sang it word for word.

2. "Don't Mind" - Kent Jones

This was one of the MANY songs I heard on Musical.ly. I still remember the little dance that goes with it.

3. "The BUZZ" - Hermitude (Feat Big K.R.I.T., Mataya, Young TAPZ)

I'm not sure where I heard this song but this is the song that put me on electronic music. It is definitely my favorite style of music at the moment.

4. "Trndsttr Lucian Remix" - Black Coast (feat. M. Maggie)

This was another song I heard on Musical.ly. I overplayed that song so much I don't think I can listen to it now without losing a brain cell.

5. "Trap Queen" - Fetty Wap

Fetty Wap was all the buzz with this hit. It was one of the first time trap music was introduced to most people. I still really like this song.

6. "I'm Legit" - Nicki Minaj (Feat. Ciara)

Yes, this is ANOTHER song I heard on Musical.ly not exactly a fan of this Nicki song. Only had it on my playlist to do the dance they went with it.

7. "Moolah" - Young Greatness

This song is just full of energy and I can still listen to this on repeat.

8. "You Don't Have to Go" - Christian Collins

I'm not really sure why I had this song on my playlist or how it got on there. It's a decent song but I'm not sure if i could listen to this now without cringing

9. "Youth" - Troye Sivan

This song is still on my playlist and it's definitely one of those songs that makes me reflect on my childhood and make me look forward to the rest of my teen years.

10. "Beggin'"- Madcon

My first time listening to this song in Step Up 3 I remember having to rewind the movie and pulling up Soundhound. Such a great song and in my opinion, a classic. Recently this song was a trend on TikTok that had a dance with it.

11. "Fistful of Tears" - Maxwell

This was one of those songs my parents played all the time when I was younger. The song grew on me and it's still on my playlist to this day.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
