Michigan State University Bucket List : Spartans Will

Let's be real, the four years fly by faster than you think they will. My parents just came to visit, and I had the overwhelming feeling that I wasn't taking in all the great things MSU has to offer. Everyone says that your college years are the best four years of your life and that you should grasp every opportunity that comes your way. So, I asked a some friends what they thought are the most important things to do before leaving Michigan State, and I compiled a bucket list from their responses. This list is not only for seniors graduating, but for every student, because these four years do go by extremely fast.

  1. Participate in the midnight scream during finals week.
  2. Attend at least one big sporting event such as a basketball or football game.
  3. Go to a hockey game as well. They are actually a lot of fun.
  4. Get bubble tea from Udon. You will love it.
  5. Go to the MSU museum. It's free and something you should see before graduating.
  6. Go to watch a movie at Wells Hall on the weekends. They usually play really great films!
  7. Go to a concert at the Breslin.
  8. Eat breakfast at Hannah's after a crazy Saturday night.
  9. Walk through the Beal Botanical Gardens. They are amazing.
  10. Participate on a bar crawl with your friends and parents.
  11. Visit the Michigan State Capitol building.
  12. Get a Long Island Iced Tea from the Peanut Barrel.
  13. Try out all the different restaurants on campus. (Harrison Road House, The Peanut Barrel, BWW, etc.)
  14. Go bowling at the Union. It is free on Wednesday nights for MSU students.
  15. Eat ice cream from the MSU Dairy Store. Try one of every flavor!
  16. Go to a show at the Wharton Center. (A capella groups are my favorite)
  17. Pull an all-nighter at the library. The fourth floor is very friendly to those who want to stay up all night.
  18. Paint The Rock.
  19. Swim in the Red Cedar.
  20. Touch the block S in the center of all the athletic venues.
  21. Join at least one club.
  22. Go to Golden Harvest.
  23. Climb the steps of Beaumont Tower.
  24. Eat at everyone dining hall at least once.
  25. Get a 4.0 for at least one semester.
  26. Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in EL. Trust me, there is no better holiday celebrated on this campus.
  27. Take a random class, just because it interests you.
  28. Get a #1 at Conrad's after one in the morning.
  29. Also try a DWB with mac and cheese bites, you won't regret it.
  30. Feed the ducks by the Red Cedar.
  31. Take a picture with Sparty.
  32. Burgerama.
  33. Rick's. (STR)
  34. Landshark.
  35. Harper's.
  36. PT's.
  37. Dublin.
  38. Monster Margarita from Los Tres.
  39. Visit Uncle John's Cider Mill during the fall.
  40. Tailgate on the tennis courts.
  41. Visit the Broad Art Museum.
  42. Get a bucket at Crunchy's.
  43. Participate in a UAB activity.
  44. Walk or bike down the entire Lansing River Trail.
  45. Take a photo with the Spartan statue.
  46. Celebrate a Spartan victory in Cedar Village — just be careful with the fire.
  47. Build a snowman in the winter.
  48. Join a club sports team.
  49. Ride the CATA bus. Especially route #1 — it is a very interesting ride.
  50. Step foot in every building before graduating.

There are so many other things that you should do before you graduate. Take all the opportunities that are presented to you. Take it all in, because before you know it, you will be putting on a cap and gown and saying goodbye to the best four years you could imagine.

Toilet Troubles

"So, usually I would never go on a Tinder date but when you are out with girlfriends and a hot Bosnian guy says he wants to hang with you and his friends, you oblige. We head to their apartment and when I realized I may pee my pants if I don't find a bathroom soon. I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"
