With former Hurricane quarterback, Mark Richt leading the program Miami football finds themselves back in the AP poll for the first time since 2013. The Hurricanes are now 3-0 and up to No. 15 in the polls. Richt said about the ranking, “It’s good for recruiting. The ESPN ticker is going to show what’s going on with the top 15 over and over. Right now, it’s not a bad place to be.’’
Last Saturday Miami trounced Appalachian State 45-10 and they have this weekend off before starting conference play. On October 1 the Hurricanes will head into Dodd Stadium to face off against the undefeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Junior quarterback Brad Kaaya had his best game of the season against Appalachian State completing 21 of 27 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns. It was Kaaya's eighth time throwing for over 300 yards in his career and the 49th career touchdown which moved up into a tie for third all-time at Miami.

The Catholics vs Convicts rivalry returns for 2016 season and I'm predicting this to be the Hurricanes first loss of the season.
