*person who sent that message gets removed from the groupme for being an idiot*


3. “Whose parents are out of town, and if so, can we come over?”

"No, my mom said no one can come over this weekend!"

"We are at your side door... come let us in."


4. “Guys, guess who just got arrested?”

*sends screenshot of the mugshot*


5. “Can someone please come pick me up, so I don’t have to waste my Cook Out money on an Uber? Speaking of Cook Out, can we please go by Cook Out on the way home?”

*proceeds to eat an entire Cook Out tray... and a milkshake*


6. "Look at this ugly picture of you I just found!"


*groupme picture gets changed*

*friend who just changed the groupme picture gets removed from said groupme*


7. “Guess what high school teacher I just ran into?”

*gets stuck at the grocery store for 30 minutes talking to said teacher*

8. “Guess who we just saw at a party?”

*proceeds to tell the group message how the nerdy kid from our senior year calc class was just seen drunk dancing on someones parents' dining room table*


9. "Guys, look who just got married?"

*sends screenshot of the wedding pictures*


10. “Can everyone please go like my Instagram picture? You guys know I need likes to feel more secure about my decision to post on Instagram!”

*gets likes from everyone in the group*


11. *someone sends a picture of a cute puppy*

*everyone starts sending pictures of cute puppies*


12. “I miss you guys!”

"We just saw you last night..."

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
